Veelgestelde vragen (FAQ)
Answers to questions we often hear about our trolleys, shipping or repairs.
Products
How long does the battery last?
Most of our lithium batteries (24v10ah) are good for at least 36 holes (with normal use) and can be re-loaded around 800 times.
How does the umbrella holder work?
The umbrella holder consists of a holder with rod and screw thread + a ring.
The ring is about the end of the handle and the rod in the ring, which also contains screw thread. By turning the umbrella holder in the ring, the ring clamps around the tube of the handle. This way you can fix the handle. Just tighten, it does not hurt. If the umbrella is in it can slowly drop down because the clamp is not tightened properly enough. Especially for the ladies, use 2 hands to turn.
Pull the silver button with elastic down, then raise the button, pull the elastic around the thin rod of the umbrella and over the silver button again. This ensures that the umbrella does not blow out of the holder.
How to re-register the remote control to the trolley?
Re-registering the remote control to the trolley the remote control stops responding and the red light does not turn on, chances are that the batteries are empty. If the remote control stops responding, but the red light is on, the remote control needs to be registered again. This happens if you have not used the trolley for a while or if there has been an electrical fault.
For the remote with red buttons (old models), it goes as follows: All plugs out for 1 minute. Make sure the speed controller on the trolly is completely reversed. Plugs in the trolly, turn on the trolly, turn on the AB, press the forward button on the AB and hold it until the trolly starts to drive. Do this for a maximum of 20 seconds. If it doesn't work, do the same thing again.
For the remote with blue buttons it goes as follows: All plugs out for 1 minute. Make sure the speed controller on the trolly is completely reversed. Plugs in the trolly but don't turn on the trolly yet. Turn on the distance control and hold down the forward button (red light comes on). So hold down the button and turn on the trolly in the meantime. Within 3 seconds the trolly should start running. If it doesn't work, do the same thing again.
REGISTER REMOTE CONTROL GT-ASR: Press the stop/on botton in the handle IC board till the LED light be green and flash fast. Press the stop botton in the remote first then press go botton then the golf trolley will work with new remote
No success, then just sent an email to info@golfTed.com

Defects
My trolley reverses instead of forward
The rod with the front wheel and the double rod with handle will be placed in the thick tube. These 2 rods must be exchanged, then the trolley will move forward again. The rod with handle has a gray dot on the rod at the bottom where the rod is clicked into the thick tube. The same dot is also on the rod that is welded to the thick tube. This way you can always see that they belong together.
Stop and go button does not work
The umbrella holder consists of a holder with rod and screw thread + a ring.
Wheel runs as if it had a big blow
Wheel slides off the axle.
On the side of the hubcaps there is a push button that springs back. You use this button to slide the wheel onto the axle. If the wheel slides off while driving, the push button does not function properly. You feel that quickly enough, because it does not bounce back.
Solution: Remove the wheel, loosen the 4 screws with a Torx screwdriver (can be a bit stiff). Then you will see a small screw on the inside of the cap with the 4 holes. That screw holds the push button in place and is probably vibrated loose. Press the push button and tighten the screw. Until it is almost stuck and the push button does not spring back. Then turn back one turn and see if the button springs back. Just press it a few times and let it come back. If that goes smoothly, everything can be put back together and the wheel will no longer slide.
Seems like there is a big blow in the wheel.
On the inside of the wheel, in the middle, are 4 screw heads. These heads fall into the element that is connected to the motor. Probably a screw has come loose and is sticking out a little. This ensures that there is a blow in the wheel.
What to do when i have problems with the remote control?
Trolley just stops.
There is a security on the trolley if you control it with the remote control. If the trolley does not receive a command (left, right, forward or backward) for 40 seconds, the trolley will stop automatically.
If you lose contact because the batteries are empty or the remote control puts in the pocket and a fold presses a button, the trolley can start driving. If you have difficulty walking and you can no longer overtake the trolley, it will stop after 40 seconds.
It is advisable to adjust the speed occasionally on long straights or to steer to the left and right. Usually you do this automatically.
The bends go too fast:
When the left or right button is pressed, one wheel stops and the other advances slightly faster. The longer this button is pressed, the faster the wheel will spin. Then it overturns the trolley too much.
This can also happen if you press the button 2 or 3 times in quick succession.
It is advisable to give the button a quick click, wait a moment and then click again. Practice makes perfect and the same goes for this.
No more contact with trolley after 10 meters:
There are 2 batteries in the remote control. Over time, the batteries become weaker and so does the signal to the trolley. This means that contact with each other can no longer bridge long distances. Now 10 meters is a great distance to let the trolley drive in front of you, keep it much shorter.
What can I do when the trolley doesn't turn on?
This can be for various reasons.
Is the battery charged?
Are the plugs properly inserted and is the plug properly tightened on the trolley?
There may be dirt in one of the plugs. Disconnect the plugs, hold the open poles down and tap the trolley a few times.
Still not working? Then it can be a problem in the circuit board under the control panel or in one of the contacts where the plugs go.
Mail to info@golfTed.eu, tell the problem and what has been done. Then an e-mail with a shipping note will follow to retrieve it so that we can repair it as soon as possible. If it falls within the warranty period, it is all free.
What can I do when the advance button doesn't work?
You use the red button to switch on the trolley. Hold this button for 3 seconds and the light will turn green.
The red button is also the Stop & Go. While driving the trolley you can stop it by pressing the red button with one click. If you press again, with one click on the red button, the trolley will continue to drive at the last set speed.
The green button makes the trolley run forward. One click is 10 meters ahead and the trolley will stop automatically. 2 clicks is 20 meters. If you accidentally press this button, just press the red button and the trolley stops immediately.
These buttons are connected to the circuit board underneath. Should a button stop responding, there is a malfunction in the circuit board or in the push mechanism. Mail the problem to info@golfTed.eu then there will be an email which action will be taken to solve it.
What if the trolleys pulls to the left or right?
If that happens, first test if the trolley does without the golf bag. It may be that the bag is a lot heavier on one side, so that more weight is put on that wheel and therefore turns more slowly due to more resistance.
If the trolley pulls without the bag, the front wheel will have to be reset. This can happen if you have collided with a wall or tree.
There is an Allen screw in the thickening of the shaft on both sides. Loosen both of these + the big screw. Do leave the screws on.
Now you can move the wheel back and forth. Reset the wheel, tighten the large screw and test whether it goes straight ahead. Finally tighten the large screw and both hexagon screws.
If that doesn't work, just send an email to info@golfTed.eu

What if the battery light flashes or stays red?
If the light on the control panel flashes red, it means that the battery is getting a bit empty and that it can be charged again. There is still enough to run at least 9 holes.
If the light is constantly red, it means that the battery is almost empty. You can still drive with it, but soon the trolley will stop and fall out.
It is then important to stop electronically, but put the wheels in freewheel and continue pushing. Otherwise, the battery will be discharged too much and may be damaged.
Do immediately charge the battery when you return home and do not leave it uncharged.
What can I do when the speed controller doesn't work?
The speed controller is stepless and is controlled via a potentiometer to the PCB.
If the speed controller falters, it is possible that the potentiometer has a malfunction and we will renew it.
If the speed controller no longer works, it may be a malfunction in the printed circuit board or potentiometer. In that case we can possibly replace both parts. Send an email to info@golfTed.nl with the problem and then an email will follow how we will arrange that.
How can I put the wheels in a freewheel?
If you forget to charge the battery or if there is an electrical fault, you will want to continue and have to push the trolley yourself. By default, the wheels are coupled to the engine, but that is much too heavy. There is an option to run the wheels smoothly and without resistance, separate from the engine.
On the thin shaft, where it is slid over, there are 2 grooves. (1st picture)
When the wheel is coupled to the engine (picture 2) there is no gap.
Press the button on the wheel and slide the wheel back a little. Then it falls into groove 1 (picture 3). You immediately feel that it runs smoothly.

Why can't I charge my phone via the USB plug?
All trolleys sold before December 2019 have a USB connection in the handle.
This is connected, via the circuit board, to the battery. But this connection is not strong enough for a smartphone.
The USB can charge a rangefinder or watch with a rangefinder.
What to do if the trolley has driven into the water?
- Immediately turn off the trolley, pull out the plugs, put the wheels in freewheel and continue pushing.
Turn off the remote control and stop using it. - When you return home, remove the battery and let it dry thoroughly • Note: if your trolley has fallen into water or has suffered water damage due to heavy rainfall, your battery will no longer charge. Charge at your own risk and don't leave while charging!! Warning: Risk of ignition or fire when recharging!! • Warning: Make sure that the pins of the battery connector do not touch any metal objects. This can cause electric shock and possible injury.
- There is probably water in the thick tube. There is also the heart of the trolley. That water has to get out quickly, because when it dries, condensation forms and then the droplets are so small that it settles in the heart and destroys the printed circuit boards. This can only be done by pulling the motor out on one side. At the bottom of the thick tube are 2 screws on the left and right. Unscrew 2 screws on the left or right with a torx screwdriver. Then pull the motor out. That is probably very stiff and is easier by putting the wheel on and pulling the wheel. Don't pull the engine all the way out with a jerk, but it's easier when it's almost out. Proceed carefully and then first disconnect the electrical wires. Then let the water run out, do not put the motor back in, but first let it dry well for a few days. Put the motor back, tighten the screws properly and try the trolley again (you must then use your battery that has been submerged in water, risk of permanent damage, ignition, fire and/or electric shock.
- Best is to send trolley to us. We will then replace the parts that are needed and ensure that your trolley is in order again. The costs will be communicated to you in advance. It is also best to buy a new battery right away.
How to align the front wheel
Front wheel pull left or right.
There is an Allen screw (red arrow) in the thickening of the shaft on both sides. Loosen both of these + the big screw (blue arrow). Do leave the screws on.
Now you can move the wheel back and forth. Reset the wheel, tighten the large screw and test whether it goes straight ahead. Finally tighten the large screw and both hexagon screws.
